Welcome to Hosanna Christian Academy!

The Hosanna Christian Academy Parent Teacher Investment Group (PTIG) recognizes and appreciates your desire to give your children the best opportunities possible to shape their future.  The PTIG is an organization consisting of parents, grandparents, teachers, administration and others who are interested in creating a positive learning environment for our children.  We have a very exciting year planned and invite each and every family to join us in making this year the most successful one yet.  There will be many opportunities for you to join in the fun of activities, feel the joy of helping enrich a student's world or just know the satisfaction of helping support our teachers and administration as they give their “all” to these students.  

By becoming involved with the PTIG you will have a voice in meetings to share ideas or concerns, have a vote on decisions that will be made concerning the school and your child, work with and get to know other parents who have the same desires for their children and much more.  The beauty of the PTIG is that you can make a difference with whatever amount of time you have.   You may reach me at any time if you have questions, suggestions, or just want to get to know a fellow parent.

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTIG) is here to promote cooperation between parents, teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment for students.  We have a very exciting year planned and invite each and every parent to join us in making this year the most successful one yet.  We host or assist with several events throughout the year that need assistance.  This year the PTIG will be hosting a “Help Desk” in which teacher needs (ex:  someone to help for one hour with filing, need someone to read to students or help with subjects) will be listed and parents can volunteer to help in these areas.

In order to achieve our goals and be the best we can, the PTIG really needs your help.  We have compiled and enclosed a basic list of items we host or assist with and what is involved.  Please take time to review this information.  A registration form is also enclosed which includes an area where you can volunteer for the different items along with a suggestion section.  Please complete the registration form and bring with you to Orientation at HCA along with your $30.00 membership due for each family.  

Fundraiser

Need a chairperson and committee members.  Fundraiser committee collects and verifies monies turned in.  Chairperson places order with company.  Upon delivery all bags (prepacked by student/class) must be delivered to individual classes for delivery by students along with prizes earned.

Popcorn Day

Need a chairperson and committee members.  Popcorn Day committee puts in ½ day once a month.  Popcorn is sold to students for .25/bag.  Money is collected by teacher and given to committee.  Committee pops and bags the popcorn and delivers it to the rooms as indicated.  Chairperson verifies money and deposits it with office.

Honor Roll

Need chairperson.  Chairperson collects data from school office.  Compiles small incentive awards and distributes by class once every quarter.

Supply Packs

Need chairperson.  This is done at the end of the school year/beginning of following year.  Chairperson works with office to collect teacher required supply list for next school term and place orders through the supply company as parents order and pay for packs.  Upon delivery, packs are distributed to correct classes.  This is for K5-5th grade only.

Orientation

Need volunteers.  A PTIG booth is set up at orientation for registration and information. 

Teacher Lunch Breaks

Need chairperson and volunteers.  Chairperson will schedule and arrange volunteers (one assigned to each elementary teacher) to supervise students once a month during the lunch shift.  This allows the elementary teachers to have one lunch shift to themselves.

Red/Black Day

Need committee members.  This event is done in conjunction with the athletic department.  It's a fun filled day of games and activities along with a family dinner before basketball games.  This is a family day/night that requires a lot of workers to handle the different areas.  Workers would work in shifts so that all can enjoy the festivities of the day.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Need committee members.  This event is sponsored by the PTIG and includes a nice lunch with games, door prizes and lots of fun to show our appreciation to the HCA teachers for all they do.  Snacks/desserts are brought into the teachers lounge each day during the week.  We begin setting up mid-morning and are usually finished by 3:00. 

Box Tops for Education

Need committee members.  Committee members would work with our Chairperson to help collect and redeem box tops.

Phone Committee

Need Chairperson and committee members.  This committee would be responsible for making phone calls as needs arise.
